Name: Natalia Elizabethia Navaeya Blackwater
Nicknames: Natalie, Liza, Emmie, Nae, Aya, and sometimes Alia.
Creepypasta Name: Navaeya Nightshade/ Zipper
Species: Human; now a lost soul/ghost
Creepypasta Age (The age where their story takes place, if applicable): Thirteen
Current Age: 379, give or take
Date of Birth: November 14th, 1637
Sexual Orientation: Straight; too young a mindset to really care
Relationship status: Single
Appearance: -Normal- Long, slightly wavy, messy white-blonde hair. Soft skin the color of that of a porcelain doll. Short and small for her age (13). Wide, inquisitively eerie, clear eyes.
-Nightshade/Zipper- Straight hair; it looks to be soaked in some kind of dark liquid, and is jet black/ or stark white, for Zipper. Dark, shadowy skin (can vary from off-white, a sickly grey, to outright black) Hollowed out, empty eyes. A bloody, stitched up smile (or just bloody; like from coughing up blood)
**Her appearance changes drastically, forming three parts of her. “Zipper” being more a brutal, unpredictable manifestation of her once highly active imagination. “Nightshade” being the most dangerous part of her. The one created out of her years of torture, and being brought back to life so many times. She is the most likely to kill, and the least likely to be calmed down. It is the darkest part of her damaged and almost vacant sanity. “Navaeya, or Nae.” This is the remaining bit of her original personality. The sweet part, who loves to play and to do the things one would mostly expect out of a small child; due to the fact that her “treatments” started when she was four years old.
Weapon of Choice: Navaeya - a pillow or sometimes a blanket; she has used socks as well. ‘Zipper’ - her hands/nails, sometimes scalpels or other various objects. She has been known to torture her victims as well, by dragging them to old and abandoned hospitals and keeping them there so they can “play.”
‘Nightshade’ - mostly her hands, teeth, or by replicating the most horrific experiments that she endured. (i.e. drowning, electrocution, ‘slicing and dicing’, or just attacking.) Her weapons are the most randomly chosen.
Purpose of Killing: Nae kills because she doesn’t want to see anyone else suffer how she did. She also kills on some occasions if she becomes irritated with her ‘playmates.’ On some occasions, Nae kills because the child she’s found bears a close resemblance to her lost baby, and she wants to keep them that way.
‘Zipper’ kills because she wants to find a new baby. She is convinced she will find her baby safe and sound inside someone else, if she just finds the right person. She also kills to defend her territory, because strange people upset and scare her.
‘Nightshade’ kills on a whim at times. Her purpose of killing is sometimes even unknown to her. Basically, it depends on what triggers her.
Style of Killing: It varies. Navaeya is least likely to kill, but if she does, it is most likely to be to smother someone with a pillow. (During this, she will most likely be dementedly, ‘affectionately’ telling the person to “Sleep tight, don’t let the bedbugs bite..” or to “Hush, hush, don’t fight..” Though always ending with “Sweet dreams,” as she tucks them in, and kisses their cheek like a mother might. A time or two, she has also been known to mutter “I love you,” as she leaves the room.
‘Zipper’ has a more drawn out way of killing. She will make use mostly of surgical knives or scalpels, as well as scissors. She prefers to cut into her victims in various ways, and has a predominant signature of sewing a zipper to her victim’s mouths while they’re still alive.
‘Nightshade’ has been known to use poison, to openly attack, to drown someone, or to electrocute them. She is the quickest killer most of the time, though she has been known to draw things out by attempting to replicate the things she endured as a misplaced mental patient.
Targets: Navaeya has been known to kill her playmates if they upset her, or to kill their parents if she thinks they are mistreating their children. Coincidentally, she has also killed children with mental problems or who she thought may have them; she believes she is ‘saving’ them from going through what she did. For the most part, Nae is a ‘Mercy Killer,’ or an ‘Angel of Death’ type killer.
‘Zipper’ has been known mostly to target pregnant women. Her reasoning is because she had a baby once, though it died only a few minutes after it was born. She is looking for a new baby to take care of - although, she has also killed women who have had miscarriages to ‘put them out of their misery.’ Her main targets are people who happen to wander into her territory. (mostly overly curious people, lost people, or ametuer paranormal investigators.) She has also been known to attack people who bear a resemblance to the doctors who abused her. Zipper is more what is known as a “Crime of Passion” killer.
‘Nightshade’ has been known to randomly attack anyone and anything. She will tear into people, animals, and anything that gets in her way. It takes a long time for her to calm down; by the time she does, she has no memory of what she’s done. Nightshade is an unpredictable entity, her behavior is as hard to expect; she rarely leaves anyone alive. Nightshade falls under the category of many different kinds of killers, all depending on her mood. On the most part, she would fall under the category of a “Compulsive Killer who sees everything as a threat.”
Catchphrase (If they have one):
Navaeya- “Sweet dreams.”
‘Zipper’- “Z-Z-ZIP IT! Z-Zip it! Shut y-your face!” or “B-baby..g-give me your b-baby..I WANT THE BABY.”
‘Nightshade’- “Twinkle twinkle little prey..how I wonder if I can ruin your day..” or “Why don’t you give this a try? The Deadly Nightshade tastes delicious this time of year..”
Physical Strengths: Overall, each has her own varying degree of strength. With Nightshade being the strongest, Zipper following, and Nae containing close to the average strength of a thirteen year old (she is a bit stronger, but grows moreso as she becomes upset or angry.) Zipper is highly acrobatic, while Nae goes unseen and unheard if she so chooses; Nightshade mostly contains brute strength, though she is also highly flexible due to being mostly a shadow.
Physical Weaknesses: If Nae becomes frightened, she is more likely to shrink up and cry. She doesn’t take fear very well, and if she doesn’t lash out by switching over to another part of herself, she will become more like a true ghost. ‘Zipper’ doesn’t take time to always observe her surroundings, and has almost been caught on occasion because she hasn’t paid attention to things going on around her. She is also easier to catch and physically hold down than either Nae or Nightshade, due to being their in-between. Nightshade‘s main weakness is being caught in bright or powerful light.
Powers(If they have any): Nae is mostly like a ghost or lost spirit. She can do the things that most ghosts can do, as well as cause disruption in electronics and leave puddles of water where she’s been. She has also been known to make rooms ice cold on a whim. She is mostly docile, and will use her ‘powers’ to entertain, or for the enjoyment of children. Nae also has an exceptional influence on children and young people; she can get them to do what she wants without having to possess them. (Though she has done this as well.)
‘Zipper’ is not actually a ‘powered’ being. She behaves a lot like a normal human, although she does have an easier time subduing people than someone else would. She also has a very good way with animals - mostly dogs.
‘Nightshade’ is an existence derived from pure suffering, and so causes it any way she can. It can come from sickness induced by her, unexplained poisonings, strange disappearances, as well as people being electrocuted or drowned from the inside without any apparent cause.
(** All Abilities/powers listed may be subject to change **)
General Nature: Nae is over all a sweet child, who has mostly the mindset of a four year old. She loves to make friends with children; she can also grow very protective of them. She has been known, though, to have a mistaken sense of mercy; and has killed more than one child on her belief she was saving them. She is very imaginative and has been known to ‘redecorate’ children’s rooms.
‘Zipper’ has a stutter brought on by repeated electroshock therapy. She is hard to get near without her trying to find a way to cut you up, although there have been rare cases where she has let people live. As accounted by the living ones “She is a very inquisitive, twitchy; almost glitched being. She has an odd sense of humor, and will follow you around like a puppy dog at times. One of her most favorite thing to do is carve things. If not people (thank goodness not me) then apples or whatever else she can get her hands on.” Zipper can be tame, though it is extremely hard to get her to be. If one can get Zipper to behave, she can be sassy, will mock you, and will very likely steal your food. She has been known, if she’s ‘claimed’ someone, to come in and out of their home at will. She has used people for a bed much like a cat, and has also been known to show almost a dangerous protective/possessiveness towards strange people - like a big dog. (Growling and lashing out included.)
Overall, if she doesn’t kill you, and you don’t scare her off or tick her off; Zipper is like a stray/unpredictable cat.
‘Nightshade’ is a very spiteful, sarcastic, and angry being. It is nearly impossible to get on her ‘good side,’ mostly because she doesn’t really have one... at all.
Positive traits: Navaeya is sweet, caring, and playful; though a bit shy. ‘Zipper’ can be funny, albeit in a warped way; she can be like a stray/pet cat in the way she will bring “offerings” to people she likes or is okay with. Nightshade..doesn’t really have any.
Negative traits: Nae is prone to being stubborn, and acting like a little brat if she doesn’t get her way. Zipper is hard to decipher, it depends on who she is around. Nightshade is entirely negative.
Hobbies: Nae likes to draw, mostly on walls. She also likes to collect teddy bears. Sometimes, she will cut them apart and sew them back together. She also likes to read. Zipper likes to take care of forest animals from time to time. Nightshade, actually has one hobby. A garden - mostly of monstrous, carnivorous or poisonous plants.
Talent: Nae likes to sing, Zipper is a good climber; Nightshade....hers are unknown.
Friends: Navaeya- Sally, Hannah (my OC), Jenny (my OC), Splendorman. Zipper- Ticci Toby, Jeff the Killer. Nightshade- Currently unavailable.
Neutral: Navaeya- Slenderman, Hoodie, Masky. Zipper- Jane the killer, Clockwork. Nightshade - no one, really.
Enemies: Nae- it depends; she currently isn’t sure. Zipper- Eyeless Jack, Laughing Jack. Nightshade - basically everyone.
Born in the late 1630’s; Natalia was not only born illegitimately, but with a rather severe case of Albinism. Her condition was one almost completely unheard of at the time, the cause was unknown; so like with most things, it was decided there was something critically wrong with her.
A heavy eye was kept on her throughout her infancy, mostly nothing more showed up that seemed to be alarming. Until she began to get a little bit older. She grew unhappy with being isolated and hidden so much; she began to make up imaginary friends to play with. Aside from being kept alone so often, Natalia had only select few people who would come to see her in general. One of which, was a servant who had less than moral intentions for the little girl.
When her behavior began to change, and it was discovered that she had began wetting her bed, the servant took alarm. Fearing being caught, he did what most people of the time did in order to cover up a crime or to dispose of someone who may cause them trouble. He began rumors that the child was ‘not sane,’ ‘wrought with illness,’ and ‘possibly witched.’
This was all that needed to be said to get rid of her. His deed was covered up, and her family was rid of the disgrace an illegitimacy would bring to their high society name. Being a well-known Lord at the time, it would have brought punishment to him and the seizing of Natalia. The guilty one in this..was for once, the man in the relationship.
The claim that Natalia was ill as well as the worry of her being found was the perfect way to get rid of her.
There was only one place for the ill then, that was pretty much a go-to for everything from depression to over-activeness. Although, that place was too far - So where Natalia was sent, was a place much worse than the one she would have been sent to. A ‘knock-off’ of sorts. A hidden mental facility buried away deep in the forests of Old England. Based heavily on the first mental facility noted down in history, a place known far more for its brutality than its success. Bedlam - or Bethlem Royal Hospital, as it was actually named. It was not a place one would want to send their family members to. Nor, was the place that they actually sent Natalia to.
Grimgates Mental Haven, far be it from what it really was.
Upon arrival, Natalia was not only the youngest ‘patient’; she was also the first female to be brought there. Her first day, it was determined that she would need ‘intensive and immediate’ care.
This would be inclusive of trephination, as well as a followed attempt at exorcism. When convinced that this wasn’t working, the next thing they decided to try was various types of purging. Being that she was only four at the time, it would take them time to advance their attempts to drive out her ‘demons,’ or to ‘return the color to her skin stolen by the devil.’
As Natalia got older, there were about seven more attempts to exorcise the ‘demons’ from her. non e of which proved to do anything than make her sick; this of course, was attempted to be cured by the introduction of other diseases. Natalia responded by gaining harder to control and by developing several emotional distresses. When retrieved for her ‘treatments,’ Natalia began to fight with the doctors. This resulted in..other measures..being taken to ‘tame her down,’ and break her will. This was only further detrimental to her state - it added onto her pain in numerous ways.
At the age of eleven, Natalia became pregnant. Her baby died only moments after being born. This drove Natalia further over the edge; she barely got to see her baby, and then wouldn’t let go of it afterwards. Some accounts say that she may have taken her baby’s remains and sewed them into her teddy bear. A ragged thing made by herself, sewn together repeatedly with her own hair, which she yanked from her head.
After years of mistreatment, the worst escalations in her last two years of life; Natalia died at the age of thirteen. That, however, is just where things really began for her.
Natalia died in late January, the year 1650. She was left dead for a total of five days, before it was decided that she would be the best test subject for a beginning project. “To Érgo tou Lazárou,” or “Epistrofí tis Zoís se mia prospátheia na therapéfsei;” meaning either ‘The Project of Lazarus,’ or ‘Return of life in effort to heal.’
Her first return to life lasted only a few hours. It was a lot of trial and error, before she finally came back to life again and stayed that way. Once she was up to par enough to be ‘treated,’ a whole new round of torture began for her, all in the name of science and the idea that they could fix her no matter how many times it took.
Over the next few decades, and even into the next over a hundred years, this was Natalia’s life. She would live only so long, before being intentionally or accidentally murdered. It wasn’t until she pumped full of nightshade poisoning, that Natalia finally died - and almost stayed that way.
Reports of the appearance of a small apparition began appearing some time after Natalia’s death. All records on her - from the time of her arrival in 1641 - were burned in effort to cover up that she had ever existed. It was because of this, that Natalia faded into obscurity almost completely. Wiped out from history, wiped out from everywhere. The only mention of her, would come from a small diary she used to keep, that was somehow spared in the rush to eliminate all traces of her.
That is, before she began to remind the world who she was.
